I’ve been taking inositol for about two weeks
tentatively, inositol seems to reduce the severity of emotional breakdowns from “sobbing and self-harm and self-hate and suicidal planning” to “grumpy mood and laziness and suicidal thoughts, coupled with insight about why I have this mood and whether my scrupulosity/social phobia thoughts are ‘technically’ 'actually’ 'true' and how long it is going to last”
which is pretty much exactly what was predicted by the “what if I actually have really really weird OCD” hypothesis, score one for self-diagnosis
